Well, there isn’t much to say. No words are going to heal the pain that this loss has brought to Cardnation tonight. The team showed heart and fight all night long. They controlled the #1 team in the country for 39 minutes. Coach Padgett said that this is the toughest loss he has ever experienced. Many in Cardnation are going to feel the same way after this result. This game meant so much to this team that is in desperate need of a signature win. Not to mention this should have been the game that ended the drought against Virginia.

All that being said, this team has one more game left before tournament play. The Cards travel to N.C. State in two days to fight for their seeding in the conference and NCAA tournament. This team has the opportunity to end the season on a high note and head into the ACC tournament with some momentum. This one hurts, but it’s not the end for this team or the seniors.
