For the first time in program history, the Louisville Cardinals earned a one seed in the NCAA Tournament.
The Cardinals will take on the Lexington Region, which includes the two-seed Baylor, three-seed Tennessee, fifth-seeded Missouri and familiar foe 11-seeded Western Kentucky University.
Louisville, being a top-four seed, gained home court advantage and will host the First and Second Rounds of the NCAA Tournament.
Put your PTO or half day requests in now. The Cardinals will tip off tournament play on Friday at Noon against Boise State.
This marks the Cardinals 21st tournament appearance and its eighth consecutive appearance. Louisville, under Coach Jeff Walz, boasts a 23 – 9 tournament record with seven Sweet Sixteens, and two Final Fours in the last nine tournament appearances.
