Late Saturday Night it was announced that ACC 2018 Coach of Year Holly Aprile from Pittsburgh would be the next softball coach for the Louisville Cardinals. Then, on Sunday morning University of Pittsburgh announced that she would be leaving. She spent the past 11 years at Pittsburgh as head coach before that she was an assistant coach at Pittsburgh & South Carolina. Holly helped guide the Panthers to a 33-18-1 record on the season & 238 Career Victories. This is a huge and great replacement for the retirement of long time Coach Sandy Pearsall.
A release from the University of Pittsburgh says that 10-year Pitt head coach and 2018 ACC coach of the year Holly Aprile is leaving its softball program to take the head-coaching job at Louisville.
