Louisville Men’s Soccer Releases 2018 Television Schedule

At UofL there’s football and then there’s futbol. Louisville Men’s Soccer has been as successful as any team on campus under Head Coach Ken Lolla. This season, which gets under way Friday, Louisville Men’s Soccer fans can watch the team from the comfort of their home if they choose.

UofL announced that all 16 of the men’s soccer regular season games will have live video coverage. This will allow fans that can’t make it to Lynn Stadium or to the road games to tune in and watch the Cards on the pitch.

Louisville Men’s Soccer Releases 2018 Television Schedule

Live video coverage slated for all 16 regular season matches, including 14 oon ACC Network Extra

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville men’s soccer team will have live video coverage for all 16 regular season matches in 2018, highlighted by ACC Network Extra coverage for 14 of those contests. It marks the first time in the program’s 40-year history all regular season matches have included live video coverage.

All 10 regular season matches at Dr. Mark and Cindy Lynn Stadium this season will be televised on ACC Network Extra, available on WatchESPN. Each of the Cardinals’ four conference road matches will also be available on ACC Network Extra. Additionally, Louisville’s road tilt at Kentucky on Sept. 4 can be seen on SEC Network+/ESPN3 and the visit to Georgetown on Sept. 25 will be streamed online through HoyaVision.

Under the guidance of head coach Ken Lolla, who is in his 13th season at the helm at Louisville, the Cardinals enter their fifth season in the ACC paced by the return of senior Tate Schmitt, a 2017 All-ACC performer. Louisville’s 2018 squad returns six starters from last year’s team, which finished second in the ACC Atlantic, advanced to the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Championship for the fifth time in eight seasons and ended the year ranked No. 7 in the nation.

Ranked No. 6 in the United Soccer Coaches preseason poll, the Cardinals will open the season with a trio of home matches at Dr. Mark and Cindy Lynn Stadium starting with Friday’s contest with St. Bonaventure (7:30 p.m., ET). They will follow Friday’s match with a home game against Georgia State on Aug. 28 (7:30 p.m.), before concluding the homestand against Saint Louis on Aug. 31 (7:30 p.m.).
