The Cards faced a tough test in their first exhibition against Bellarmine. Louisville had a very rough start from the field. Going into halftime, the Cards were 1 of 16 from 3 and 25% overall. They made up for it in the second half, hitting 5 of 9 from three and 57% from the field. They also were helped out by the 29 made free throws on 38 attempts (76%).
Louisville was led in scoring by VJ King, who had 17 points. Steven Enoch made an impact with 14 points, including 2 three pointers, and 5 rebounds. Jordan Nwora was close to a double double with 10 points and 9 rebounds.
The Cards return to the Yum! Center next Saturday at 7:00 PM to face Simmons College.
