Scott Satterfield has been a busy man since accepting the job Tuesday as UofL’s football coach. However, between his introductory presser, radio sports talk show blitz, and appearance at the Yum Center Satterfield has begun the important task of assembling a football staff.

According to a report from Fox Sports and The Athletic’s Bruce Feldman, Bryan Brown, the DC and CBs coach for Satterfield at Appalachian State, will be joining his staff at UofL as the DC. The official announcement will not come until next week, according to Feldman.
Brown has been Satterfield’s CBs coach at App State since 2012. His CBs were adept at intercepting opposing QBs, accounting for 30 picks since 2015 per his App State profile page (which has been deleted). This year, in addition to that role, he became DC and led a defense ranked 6th in the NCAA in total defense per NCAA.com.
Brown is a former Ole Miss player and coach. At Ole Miss, he was a defensive administrative assistant and also coached spurs (nickelbacks). He coached at Rutgers and Delta State as well before joining Satterfield at App State.
Brown is a young up-and-comer and is obviously really good at recognizing and developing talent. He was recently added to the 35 under 35 Coaches Leadership Institution at 2019 AFCA Annual Convention by the American Football Coaches Association. It is a very prestigious honor and shows just how respected he is in the coaching industry.
Congrats to @CoachB_BROWN for be selected for the @WeAreAFCA 35 under 35 Coaches Leadership Institution at the 2019 convention!#10Strong#RQ2K18 pic.twitter.com/VshhzlrP0x
