Louisville at North Carolina: Cards Take On Tar Heels in Chapel Hill

The Louisville Cardinals (10-5) travel to Chapel Hill to take on the No. 12 North Carolina Tar Heels (12-3) today at 12. The Tar Heels are currently 11.5-point favorites. The game can be seen on ESPN.

The Tar Heels are led by a pair of seniors in Cameron Johnson and Luke Maye. The pair average 16.2 and 14.8 points per game, respectively. Maye averages a near double-double with 9.9 rebounds per game. North Carolina also has two freshman guards that are highly touted in Coby White and Nassir Little. White averages 14.7 points per game and Little averages 9.9 points per game. Little is expected to be a top-10 pick in the upcoming NBA draft.

Louisville has never won at Chapel Hill and coming off the loss at Pitt, the Cards are faced with a tough task to bounce back so quickly against a good Carolina team. Louisville will have to focus on the battle on the glass and slow the Tar Heels down in transition.

This season for Louisville will be an up and down one, in my opinion. They’ll lose some games they shouldn’t, but I believe they’ll win some games they shouldn’t, as well. I think today will be one of those games they win.
