The Cardinals had a busy week competing against two Top 25 teams, Indiana and Virginia Tech. On Tuesday, Redshirt Freshman Taylor Roby helped lead the Cardinals over the Hoosiers with a 3-run home run in the 3rd inning which proved to be the difference in the ball game. The Cardinals then traveled to Blacksburg, Virginia to take on #24 Hokies of Virginia Tech. On Friday, the Cardinals offense led by Junior Celene Funke, jumped out to 3-1 lead and never looked back on the Hokies. On Saturday and Sunday, the Hokies offense was too much for the Cardinals and out scored them 23-6 in the final two games of the series.
Up Next: The Cardinals travel to Western Kentucky on Wednesday and then returning home for a battle weekend with #3 Florida State.
