On Saturday afternoon, the Cardinals took on the defending National Champions Florida State Seminoles in a double header.
In game one, Megan Hensley got the Cardinals offense started early with a two run homerun in the bottom of the second off Meghan King of Florida State. This provided the Cardinals with enough support for Danielle Watson to pitch a one hit complete game on the #3 Seminoles. This was the Cardinals first win over a top five team since 2016.

The Cardinals couldn’t get a run till the bottom of the 6th inning when Sidney Melton had a triple. Sidney went 2-3 with a double and triple in the game. The Cardinals threatened again in the 7th but couldn’t get the run. Redshirt Freshman Taylor Roby, pitched four innings in relief to only giving up one hit and one run.
