
In the Battle of Bluegrass, the Louisville Cardinals prevailed when Taylor Roby did a walk off single in the bottom of the 7th inning. Kentucky took the early 2-0 in the top 1st but then the Cats and Cards traded punches. The tide took a turn in the bottom of 3rd inning when Cardinals offense scored three runs to take the 7-4 lead. The Cats answered back scoring one in the 5th inning and two in 7th inning. The Cards at the bottom of 7th had two runners on bases and the redshirt freshman Taylor Roby sealed the game with a game winning single.
