This week’s men’s college basketball polls have been released and our Louisville Cardinals have moved 2 spots up to number 11 in the AP Poll. In the USA TODAY Coaches Poll, the Cards moved up 1 spot from 11th to 10th. These moves were after a week where the Cards went 2-0 with wins over Miami at home and Notre Dame on the road.
As mentioned above, the Cards are just outside the top 10 of the AP Poll at 11; having moved up two spots from last week’s poll.
The top 10 has Gonzaga in the top spot followed by Baylor at 2. Baylor jumped Kansas and Duke. Duke drops a single spot to 3 while Auburn jumps to 4. Butler moves up one spot to 5, Kansas drops from 3rd to 6th, San Diego State remains at 7, Oregon moves from 9th to 8th, Florida State from 10th to 9th, and UK leapfrogs Louisville and checks in at 10th.
Gonzaga, Baylor, and Duke all received first place votes. Surprisingly, Baylor received the most with 31 while Gonzaga had 30 and Duke had 4.
In this poll, Louisville jumps into the top 10 at number 10. That’s one spot upward from last week’s poll.
The rest of the top 10 has Gonzaga remaining in the top spot. Baylor jumps from 4th to 2nd, leapfrogging Duke. Duke drops into 3rd while undefeated Auburn jumps to 4th.
