Two Louisville signees have been named McDonald’s All Americans. Olivia Cochran and Hailey Van Lith will both participate in the McDonald’s All-American game on April 1st in Houston, Texas.
Van Lith, a WA native, is a 5’7 G ranked number 1 at her position and 8th overall in the 2020 class by ESPN HoopGurlz. Her game is very reminiscent of former Cardinal great Shoni Schimmel. She’s a scorer at all three levels and also possesses excellent court vision and passing ability. Her ability as a ball handler is excellent. She is a wizard with the ball and can get into the lane at will.
Cochran, a GA native, is a 6’1 F ranked 4th at her position and 18th overall by ESPN HoopGurlz. Cochran is a big, physical player that can finish through contact around the rim. Her skill set is diversified, however. She can handle the ball on the break and the perimeter, driving to the basket and finishing. She also displays a nice mid-range jumper.
Cochran and Van Lith are the latest to join the list of Louisville McDonald’s All Americans joining former greats Asia Durr, Myisha Hines-Allen, Sara Hammond, Sam Fuehring and so many more. Louisville’s current roster boasts three McDonald’s All Americans; Dana Evans, Kylee Shook and Nyah Green.
