Cardinal Softball Gets New Jerseys For 2020 Season

On Tuesday evening, the University of Louisville softball team announced via Twitter their new jerseys for the 2020 season.

There are new white and black jerseys that the Cards will dawn. As they call them, “icy white” and “blacked out.”

The white jerseys are white and red with no black at all. On the front, Louisville is written in font red lettering and outlined in red. The numbers are also red and outlined in red. On the left side is are a few fleur-de-lis, a symbol of the city of Louisville. On the back are surnames written in thick red font. The numbers are the same as on the front. There is a circle of faint red stars encircling the player numbers.

The black jerseys feature the standard Louisville Cardinal bird head on the front. On the back, there are numerals in thick white font. Instead of surnames, these jerseys say, “The Ville” in thick white font. Similar to the white jerseys, there are faint black stars encircling the player numbers on the back.

The Cardinals are returning 12 players from last years NCAA Tournament team along with five new freshman. The team will be traveling to Clearwater, Florida to compete in the NFCA Leadoff Classic in 9 days.
