Softball (1-4)

The Softball Cards competed at the NFCA Leadoff Classic, where they won their first game, an upset against #21/25 Ole Miss, by a score of 4-2. Unfortunately, this is where the Cards luck ran out, as they suffered 4 straight defeats against Baylor (4-7), Texas Sate (3-7), Mississippi State (2-3), and Missouri (1-5).

This Week: The ACC/Big 10 challenge is this Friday-Sunday, as we play #17 Michigan twice (Friday, 11 AM, Sunday 10 AM), and #25 Wisconsin twice (Friday, 4 PM, Saturday, 1:30 PM).

All game will be available to watch on SEC Network+, and the lead-off times are as follows: Friday, 5 PM; Saturday, 2:30 PM; and Sunday, 1 PM.

#9 Women’s Basketball (21-3, 10-2)

After the high of having a chance to play against the USA national team, our Cards had a disappointing week to say the least, dropping their game at home against #14 Florida State (59-67), and their game on the road at Syracuse (51-59).

This Week: Thursday, February 13th: At #4 NC State (ACC Network, 8 PM)

The first game was against Wake Forest at home, and we were victorious by a score of 86-76.

Next, at a game I personally attended (and I will say, YUM Center, you guys were rocking!), and on a night where we honored the 1980 National Championship team, the Cards were finally able to break through vs Virginia, winning 80-73.
