Louisville Football Head Coach Scott Satterfield met with media via teleconference today. With football preseason camp set to begin shortly and a pandemic raging in many parts of the country, Coach Satterfield discussed what the team and staff are doing to prep.
Coach Satterfield explained that while the team and coaches do get some time together on the field, they are mainly working on more mental aspects of the game at this point; installing their offensive, defensive, and special teams schemes. He said that they have contingencies in place in case the season is pushed back from the original start of September 2nd, but that they are currently operating on the belief the season will start on time.
Among other topics discussed were the two new transfers Kei’Trel Clark and Roscoe Johnson, the number of players currently on campus in the phased reopening plan enacted to combat the pandemic, and the target date for when fall practice when officially get under way.
