If you live in Louisville, you know who Jack Harlow is. The son of the city is quickly becoming one of the hottest rap artists in America and the world. However, he definitely is repping the 502 lyrically, in his videos, and in interviews. He also reps our Cards, whom he is a huge fan of.
Tonight, in his performance during the MTV VMA Awards Pre-Show, Harlow showed love to Louisville Men’s Basketball. He also showed some love to a former Card and current NBA Star who is cementing his superstar status in this year’s playoffs.
Harlow performed his hit song, “What’s Poppin,” and it was shot in the KFC Yum Center. He was wearing a Donovan Mitchell Utah throwback jersey. Mitchell is currently lighting up the playoff bubble in Orlando, averaging 37.6 points per game and 5.6 assists per game.
As the video progresses, we see masked up Louisville players doing layups and dunks in the background as Harlow flows. That young man sure has the flow and it was awesome to see our Cards getting to share his spotlight.
It’s awesome seeing a talented hometown guy repping the city and university we all love. Jack Harlow repping a budding NBA superstar we all love as he himself is a budding musical superstar is awesome as well. Louisville as a city and UofL Athletics got a nice dose of National and international exposure tonight. All thanks to Jack Harlow and his superstar flow. He’s definitely “what’s poppin” in the music world right now. Check out the video below.
