The Cards defeated the Blue Devils on the road 73-49 before Covid made its presence felt. Now, the Cards will see their first action in a while within the friendly confines of the KFC Yum! Center against the Tar Heels. The game will take place at high noon on New Year’s Day.
North Carolina enters the game at 7-2 overall and 2-2 in conference. The Tar Heels are 7-0 at home and, more importantly, 0-2 on the road. The Cards are undefeated and ranked 2nd in the country, with an 8-0 record and 3-0 record in conference.
Louisville will look to continue on their undefeated path and quest for a Final Four by beating the Tar Heels. It will be interesting to see how much rust the team may have as they get back into action.
