Tonight’s Louisville Game Against Syracuse Postponed

Well, UofL fans will have to wait longer to see the men’s basketball team play. Tonight’s matchup with Syracuse at the Yum Center has been postponed due to a positive Covid-19 test within the program. No makeup date for this game was announced in the press release.

The Cards have been out of action since a victory over Georgia Tech on February 1st. UofL won that contest 74-58 on the backs of excellent performances by Samuell Williamson, David Johnson, and Carlik Jones. Williamson and Johnson had double-doubles, with Williamson scoring 20 and grabbing 18 boards and Johnson dropping 24 and grabbing 10 rebounds. Jones scored 12, grabbed 6 rebounds, and dished out 8 assists.

The Cards are next scheduled to face North Carolina on Saturday at the Dean Dome. It’s unknown if this new positive test will cause the postponement of Saturday’s game.

All of us at CSZ wish those that have been effected by the virus a speedy recovery.
