The fifth-ranked Louisville Cardinals (20-10, 12-5 ACC) took two-of-three in their weekend series against the Florida State Seminoles (16-12, 11-10).

Louisville walked it off against Florida State on Friday night, as the Cardinals took a 4-3 win over the Seminoles in ten innings.

Levi Usher provided the walkoff RBI single in the tenth inning to score Christian Knapczyk, ending a 1-for-2 night for the sophomore.  Usher, Luke Brown (1-for-4), and Alex Binelas (1-for-4) had RBIs on their afternoons. Cooper Bowman was the only Cardinal with a multi-hit game, going 2-for-5 as the leadoff hitter.

Michael Kirian struck out ten batters in his Friday start on seven innings of work. Adam Elliott improved his record to 5-1 with three shutout innings and five strikeout innings, two of which ended the ninth and tenth innings with runners on base.

U of L then took an 11-4 win over FSU on Sunday evening. Louisville trailed 4-2 entering the bottom sixth inning, but scored three in the frame to take the lead for good. They added on six runs in the bottom seventh to secure some insurance runs.

Trey Leonard continued his stellar play on Sunday with a 3-for-5 outing, including a home run in the second inning that put Louisville on the board. Dalton Rushing went 2-for-3 from the DH spot, while Luke Brown and Alex Binelas (both 2-for-4) added multi-hit games for Louisville. Tate Kuehner earned his second win of the 2021 season with 0.2 innings of work in the sixth, stopping an FSU run in the inning long enough for Louisville to score its winning runs.
