Louisville men’s basketball released their new entrance video for this season. It mixes vignettes of the current iteration of the team, Team 108, with memorable players and moments of the past.
The video lasts 1 minute and 30 seconds. The narrator is a familiar voice to any true Cards fan as Mike Rutherford a.k.a. Card Chronicle showcases our past and our present. Some of the players featured are Darrell Griffith, Pervis Ellison, Luke Hancock, Montrezl Harrell, Russ Smith, and Donovan Mitchell. However, there were many more legends as well and I don’t want to give them away.
Also prominently featured are video clips from the 2013 national title win (it happened). Namely, Trez’s huge dunk and Luke with his patented 3 to the dome as the Jim Nance play-by-play of the shot plays over it.
The hype video this season is definitely one that should get any true fan pumped up and it’s a subtle, but obvious tribute to the 2013 title team. Check it out below.
