The 3 Star prospect out of Cedar Grover High School in Ellenwood, GA holds offers from Pittsburgh, Purdue, USC, Virginia Tech, uk, and others. He’s ranked as the 508th- best overall prospect and 35th at his position per 247sports composite rankings. Derek Nicholson and Mark Ivey led UofL’s recruiting efforts.
Adonijah Green is a big, long, and strong DE. Standing 6’5, he shows excellent burst at the snap. Green can use his speed and quickness to get around the edge on OTs and at other times he can use his strength to push them deep into the QB’s lap. He is also adept at shedding blocks. He uses his hands very well to discard blockers to the side and make plays. On running plays, Green is disciplined and isn’t fooled easily by read-options or other types of misdirection runs.
What is #Louisville getting in new 2023 commit Adonijah Green?

Adonijah Green is a big DE that will likely need to and will add weight once he arrives on campus. He’s another big defensive lineman that seems to show a shift in Louisville Football’s philosophy of smaller, quicker lineman to bigger, stronger ones. He still possesses plenty of quickness for his size and his football IQ is definitely very high. An excellent pickup to begin the 2023 class.
