The Louisville men’s basketball team dropped its second straight game on Wednesday night in a 79-63 loss to NC State at the KFC Yum! Center. The Cards fall to 10-6 on the season and 4-2 in ACC play. NC State improved to 9-8 overall and 2-4.
Louisville is now 10-6 and firmly outside of the NCAA Tournament picture. Any momentum from the 4-0 start in the ACC is long gone. We are halfway through the regular season. At this point, you more than hope that this team would have things figured out. It should be an expectation at a program like this one.
No one is content with the current state of Louisville men’s basketball: the players, the coaches, and especially the fanbase. There are 14 games left in the season, and there could very well be 14 games left in the Chris Mack era at this program.
