Gameday Recap: Louisville Vs. Boston College

Louisville got back in the win column on Wednesday night with a 67-54 victory over Boston College inside the KFC Yum! Center. The Cards improved to 11-7 on the year and 5-3 in ACC play. BC drops to 7-9 overall and 2-4 in the conference.

BOX SCORE

When a 7-8 Boston College team rolls into the KFC Yum! Center on a Wednesday night, Louisville should beat them convincingly. That is exactly what the Cards did. It was close throughout most of the game, but Louisville pulled away at the end and won by double-digits for the first time in over a month.

There was nothing exciting about this win, but it was a much needed one for a team that had lost three straight and still looks like it is miles away from an NCAA Tournament berth. Expectations have changed a bit considering the recent struggles, but these are games that Louisville is still expected to take care of comfortably.

There are still plenty of questions around the team itself. The offensive struggles have not gone anywhere, though the defensive performance on Wednesday looked like what we had been seeing earlier in the season.

Nothing has really changed in regards to overall outlook of this team and the coaching staff, but a win is a win. We will see if any momentum can come from this one.
