Gameday Recap: Louisville At Virginia

The Louisville men’s basketball team lost once again on Monday night in a 64-52 defeat to Virginia in Charlottesville. The Cards drop to 11-9 on the season and 5-5 in the ACC. UVA improves to 12-8 and 6-4.

Louisville has now lost five of its past six games, and things do not get any easier with Duke coming to town this weekend. This is a team with plenty of talent on the roster, but it is evident at this point that the 2021-2022 season is going to be a wasted one. The Cards could very well struggle to finish with a .500 record the way things are going.

This is a feeling that is so foreign to this program and its fanbase. Louisville is just not mediocre, it is bad. The coaching staff and its players are putting up unacceptable performances on a weekly basis with no reason to believe things can change. It seems like we have reached the point of no return. Chris Mack may not be able to come back from this, and it does not seem like he is particularly interested in attempting to.
