Since Friday, the University of Louisville Football program has been on fire on the recruiting trail. Head Coach Scott Satterfield and the coaching staff received a slew of commitments all weekend long; that momentum carried on into the next week as safety Jayden Davis joined the 2023 class on Tuesday morning.
The three-star Suwanee, Ga. native’s commitment marks the sixth defensive back pledge since Sunday morning, and the third of the 2023 cycle. Davis is currently ranked as the 428th-best prospect in the class and holds offers from Tennessee, Michigan, Utah, Kentucky, Mississippi, Arkansas, Georgia Tech, and others.
Watch: Jayden Davis’ Junior Season Highlights
Initial Scouting Report:
-Good size for a defensive back (6-foot-2), good hands and solid footwork
-Shades of Calvin Pryor: explosive tackler that can cover sideline-to-sideline
-Solid instincts and vision in the defensive backfield
-Burst and strength contribute to effective run defense
-Ability to high-point the football (also a WR) assists in coverage
