Louisville interim head men’s basketball coach Mike Pegues joined the media on Friday morning to discuss the Cards’ controversial midweek loss to North Carolina and preview the upcoming game at Syracuse on Saturday. He was joined by sophomore forward Jae’Lyn Withers.
Louisville lost a close 90-83 overtime game with UNC on Tuesday night. A questionable foul call on Sydney Curry, plus controversial technical fouls on Pegues and Withers in the overtime period seemingly played a role in deciding the game in UNC’s favor. The Cards now hold an 11-11 overall record on the season.

Louisville heads up to New York State on Saturday afternoon for a 2:00 p.m. ET matchup with the Syracuse Orange on ESPN2.
