GALLERY: Louisville Vs. Dartmouth (Baseball)

Louisville (4-3) rebounded from a Saturday loss to take the series against Dartmouth (1-2) with an emphatic 16-3 win.

The Cardinals marched to an 8-0 run in the first three innings, highlighted by a three-run homer from Ben Metzinger in the second. Metzinger finished 3-for-5 with a double, triple, home run, and five RBIs. Ben Bianco had a monster day at the plate, going 5-for-6 with three RBIs, a double, and a triple on the afternoon. JT Benson also had a productive game with a 3-for-5 showing and two RBIs, as the Cardinals had 17 hits on the day.

Making his first career start, Riley Phillips earned his first win of 2022, allowing just one earned run in five innings. Will Koger (2 IP, 2 ER), Kyle Walter (1.0 IP, 2 K’s), Carson Liggett (0.2 IP), and J.R. Langworthy (0.1 IP) finished the win on the bullpen. Dartmouth’s only two runs came on home runs from Connor Bertsch (solo HR in T5) and Nathan Cmeyla (two-run HR in T7).
