A new era has arrived for the Louisville men’s basketball program. One of our own has come back to the nest to bring back glory to his program. Kenny Payne has taken the reins of UofL men’s basketball.
Today, Coach Payne was introduced in front of a large audience of people in the President’s Room at the KFC Yum! Center. There was a who’s who of UofL men’s basketball legends from Darrell Griffith to Milt Wagner to Russ Smith and many more in attendance to see Coach Payne speak for the first time as coach of his alma mater. It was clear that he wants an exciting brand of basketball, and that he wants everyone to have a hand in helping elevate UofL back to its place as an elite program. It was also clear how humble, thoughtful, and authentic a man Coach Payne is.
