Early this morning, it was announced publicly that Adidas was starting a NIL network for student-athletes at all schools they sponsor. This new NIL network is open to men and women and to all sports, not just the revenue sports. In essence, it will allow student-athletes at all Adidas sponsored schools to become brand ambassadors for Adidas.
Of course, Adidas has been a long-time sponsor of UofL Athletics. So, all of UofLβs menβs and womenβs programs will have an opportunity to capitalize on their NIL through Adidas. So, non-revenue sports that may not have the same NIL opportunities as revenue sports now have an avenue to capitalize on it.
