UofL will play Texas A&M Friday, Saturday, and if needed Sunday. First pitch for the Friday opener is scheduled for 8:30 pm EDT on ESPNU. Saturdayβs game will start at 3 pm EDT and air on ESPN2. Game time and network for Sundayβs game (if necessary) is to be determined.
Louisville looks to continue swinging their hot bats down in College Station. They scored at least seven runs in all but one game of the regional at Jim Patterson Stadium. The final two wins against Michigan saw UofL score 20 runs and 11 runs, respectively. As a team, the Cards had a .339 batting average through the 5-game regional with 64 total hits, 49 runs scored, 16 doubles, and seven homers.
Overall, the pitching staff did a decent job. They recorded 52 Ks which is average of 10.4 per game. They surrendered only 9 walks, but they did give up 14 extra base hits including 7 homers to opponents. Their cumulative ERA was 4.50.
So, get ready for a primetime matchup between 5th-seeded Texas A&M and 12th-seeded UofL starting Friday. Itβs gonna be a fun weekend of baseball that will hopefully end with a trip to Omaha.
