The Louisville football program has already done a fantastic job creating a recruiting pipeline into California in the 2023 cycle. Now, they’re attempting to do the same thing in southern Florida, an area that has produced many standouts for the Cardinals over the past few decades. The pipeline took a considerable step forward when four-star wide receiver William Fowles committed the program on Tuesday evening.

Fowles named a top-six back in June, with Louisville not appearing in the mix (Georgia, Mississippi, Miami, Florida State, Maryland, Texas A&M). In a surprising turn of events, the Dade Christian School standout pledged his commitment to the Cardinals, rising the FlyVille23 class rank to 18th (13 commits).
Watch: William Fowles Junior Season Highlights
Fowles is currently ranked as the 356th-best prospect in the class, and inside the top-50 of his position (247sports Composite). The 6-foot-2 receiver holds offers from Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Florida State, Texas A&M, Miami, Mississippi, Pittsburgh, NC State, Maryland, Tennessee, and a handful of others.
Fowles will bring a mix of speed and athleticism to the WR position at UofL. He’s got breakaway speed as he is a threat to score every time he has the ball in his hands. Downfield, he can make adjustments to a pass if it’s under thrown and he’s excellent at tracking the ball. His good size and athleticism allow him to win one-on-one jump ball situations. Meanwhile, he is excellent at getting separation from DBs to make himself an easy and open target for his QB. Another great pickup for Coach Satterfield and staff.
