One of many things the UofL Athletics marketing department got right was the institution of the annual Louisville Live event. Held at 4th Street Live until last year when it was moved to Churchill Downs. Now, it will be featured at a new venue and will be held later than previous iterations.

This year’s version will be held at Louisville Slugger Field, the downtown home of the Louisville Bats Triple A farm club. The event will take place on 10-21-22 which is homecoming weekend for the football team.
While details on tickets, time, and festivities have not been announced, you can bet it will still be an awesome event. Also, this will be the first iteration under new head coach Kenny Payne. It will be our first chance to see the style and flavor Coach Payne will bring to the table. Plus, there will almost definitely be some big time recruits in town for this and there are always surprise guests. I would bet a lot of Cardinal legends from the distant and recent past will be there.
Oh and let’s not forget we will get to preview Coach Jeff Walz and his women’s team as they prepare to try and build on the success of last year’s Final Four run. We will get to see what Hailey Van Lith and the gang have in store as they strive for another trip to the Final Four.
Make sure you mark you calendars for Friday, October 21st to get out and enjoy some early basketball before football’s homecoming game. More surprises coming soon…
