2024 Top Prospect Carter Bryant Officially Visiting Louisville This Weekend

One of the top prospects in the 2024 class is taking his official visit to Louisville this weekend. Carter Bryant, a 5 Star SF from Newport Coast, CA, was originally scheduled to visit for Louisville Live. However, he had to reschedule and is now visiting this weekend. He is listed currently at 6’8 and 225 lbs.

In addition to his Louisville offer, Bryant has offers from Duke, Arizona, California, Florida State, Gonzaga, Oregon, and many others. According to 247sports composite rankings, he is the 15th-ranked overall player nationally and 6th at his position. 247sports themselves rank Bryant as the 7th-best overall prospect and 2nd at his position.

Bryant would be an excellent addition to the 2024 class for Coach Kenny Payne. He’s a smooth athlete that can dunk with ease. Meanwhile, at his size of 6’8, he shows guard-like ability handling the basketball in the open floor. I could imagine Bryant being used as a primary ball handler in certain situations. Bryant can get to any spot he wants to offensively because of his ability to dribble it like a guard.

Another guard-like ability is Bryant’s passing coupled with excellent vision. He sees open teammates and makes very accurate passes to them for layups, dunks, and open shots. He’s an unselfish player which is something Coach Payne seems to value in his offensive system.

Bryant can score from deep or slash inside for dunks and layups. His shot is nice and, because of his size, he should be able to get his shot off against anyone. His ability to maneuver with the ball in his hands gets him many shots around the rim that he makes with dunks and layups.

Carter Bryant would be a huge get for Coach Payne in the 2024 class. If a commitment is secured, he would join guard TJ Robinson. That would be quite a combo to start the 2024 class with. With the IARP officially behind us, I imagine the sell job to Carter Bryant has become much easier for Coach Payne. He can point to numerous NBA talents he helped mold at Bryant’s position and point to immediate playing time. Also, I’d have to imagine he can sell him on becoming one of the cornerstones of UofL men’s basketball’s rebirth as a national power. If Coach Payne can land Carter Bryant, it would be a huge immediate boost to UofL and his program.
