On Monday morning, Jeff Brohm and staff got the commitment of Eastern Illinois and local 502 kid Blake Ruffin from Trinity High School. In 2021, Blake played in all 11 games where he had 31 tackles, 20 of which were solo tackles. He also forced 2 fumbles as well. In his sophomore season, he suffered a season ending injury in fall camp. In 2023, he had 62 tackles, 45 of which were solo tackles. He also had 4 Pass Break ups and 4 interceptions. He comes to the Cardinals with 2 years of eligibility left.
