Catch-up With Man Robinson!

Checking in on local three sport athlete Man Robinson, who just as we expected, is starting to make a name for himself on the national recruiting scene before he even played a snap of Varsity football!

Man is a legacy recruit, as he is the step son of former Louisville Male High School stand out Danny Mosby, who was a WR during the Ron Cooper era, and finished his career at Alabama A&M University. Man is a one of the better freshman football players in Kentucky, and is also one of the best freshman point guards as well. He also runs track and field for Christian Academy of Louisville. (CAL).

The freshman class at CAL is shaping up to be a good one, and there are others in that 2028 class that are sure to be some of the top recruits in the state, and contributing on the varsity level, very early on. Man also spends most of his spring and summer playing AAU Basketball for Team Mookie Betts, out of Nashville, TN. I’m not sure I’ve known a kid with a stronger work ethic, just typing this is making me sweat! Needless to say, his hard work is paying off.

Just this past week, Man picked up his first Division I, Power 4, Big Ten Offer, after attending a one day camp at Purdue University. Purdue’s coaching staff believes Man will be one of the best cornerbacks in the country by his senior year, as he held his own in fundamental drills, as well as one on one drills, against some of the top Juniors and Seniors to be in the Midwest. At 5’10 165 pounds entering his freshman season, Man is sure to contribute significantly this season, as CAL goes on its quest for a three-peat! We at Cardinal Sports Zone will be watching, as we have become some of his biggest fans. He is absolutely fun to watch.

My hope, is that the UofL picks up the phone and gives Man that hometown offer, and gives us as fans another local kid to get behind during the recruiting process.

Man is everything we look for in our recruits, a great student, athletic, a great representation of the culture that Jeff Brohm has created, and he is probably the most well mannered kid I’ve ever had the pleasure to speak with. Who knows, maybe he’ll be the next dual sport athlete at UofL. One things for sure, whatever he chooses, based on his work ethic alone, he’ll be great at it. Let’s hope he’s great as a University of Louisville student athlete!
