Who are you excited about on the defensive side of the ball?
For me I will name a few from each position group.
DL- Going to try to leave some of the obvious names for the Tweeps to mention. For the D-line we have a plethora of grad transfers coming in. Guys like Tramel Logan (Miami), Myles Jernigan (Cal) & Thor Griffin (Harvard) just to name a few.
Guys like Ashton, Dez, Ramon, Adonajah & Selah are the vets here and it will be interesting to see how the 2 sets mesh on the Defensive Line. If done correctly we could be in for a very special season from this group.
LB- Expecting big years out of vet TJ Quinn, Stanquan Clark & newcomer Jurriente Davis (TAMU). Also dont be shocked to see TJ Capers become a bigger star this season.
DB-Our Defensive backfield is one of the most loaded in recent history. Quincy, Ben, MJ, Devin, Tahveon (Illinois), Thornton (UCF), Aaron Williams, Tamarion McDonald (Tenn), Daeh (OU), Ruffin (EIU) are just some of the names in the backfield. I know I almost name d everyone. That’s how deep we are.
When this year is all said and done we could be looking at one of the best All-Around Defensive units in school history. Very excited! Who are you excited about? Let’s check the responses!
Excited to see MJ Griffin back on the field. Will definitely help the secondary that was a bit shaky at moments last year
