Welcome back for another edition of This Week In Cardinal Athletics for the week of August 25th-September 1st.
#4 Volleyball (3-0): The #4 Cardinals volleyball team started the Dan Meske era with the Cardinal Classic tournament. The Cardinals picked up three wins over Auburn, Morehead State, and St. John’s. Senior, Cara Cresse, had over 20 kills on the weekend.

Read more: TWICA: August 25th – September 1st 2025Men’s Soccer (3-0): The Cardinals picked up victories over UAB and IU Indy this week. They won with a combined score of 5-0. Freshman, Quinton Wilson, led the Cardinals in scoring with two goals.
Up Next: The Cardinals will host #4 Stanford Friday at 10 AM.
Women’s Soccer (5-1): The Louisville women’s soccer team kept up its winning ways with victories over USC Upstate and Costal Carolina. Amelia Swinarski and AG Gibson both recorded multi-goal games. The Cardinals have scored a remarkable 26 goals in their last four games, outscoring their opponents 26-2 in that span.
Up Next: The Cardinals host Kent State Thursday at 6PM and Dayton on Sunday 6 PM.
Field Hockey (2-0): The Cardinals picked up two victories this week over Michigan State and Ohio University. They scored 11 goals in two matches. Senior, Rylie Wollerton, led the way with a pair of goals and an assist. Sophomore, Gigi Edwards, and Freshman, Gracie Potter, notched their first career goals.
Up Next: Field Hockey will host Drexel and Indiana on Saturday and Sunday at 11 AM.
