We have another busy weekend for UofL sports. As a fan of the Cards, you have to love it though, so much going on! Here is a little preview of what is going on this weekend. Also, we just posted our new “CardSwag” page, so be sure to check that out while you are on the site.
Friday
*Swimming & Diving– At 2:00, the Cards will host rival Kentucky at the Ralph Wright Natatorium on UofL’s campus. It is also senior day for 17 athletes. If you are going, be sure to wear your red!
*Track & Field– The Cards will split their squads this weekend, with some of the team going to the Notre Dame Meyo Invitational in South Bend, IN, and the rest of the team going to the Virginia Tech Elite Meet in Blacksburg, VA. Both meets are Friday and Saturday.
*CSZ– Later today, we will release a Super Bowl related Cardinal Rewind from Roman Oben. Oben played football for the Cards in the ’90s and now works with the New York Giants. Be sure to check that one out.
Saturday
*CSZ– We will announce the winner of our Denny Crum contest. Get your entries in today!!!
*Men’s Basketball– The 25th ranked Cards (17-5, 5-4) will host Rutgers (12-11, 4-6) at 4:00 at the KFC Yum! Center. UofL will be going for their 4th win in a row. Full preview still to come.
*Women’s Basketball– 14/12 ranked Cards (17-5, 6-3) travel to Morgantown to take on West Virginia (16-6, 6-3). This game is also at 4:00.
*Track & Field– UofL finishes up their meets in South Bend, IN and Blacksburg, VA.
*Men’s Tennis– The Cards will host 29th ranked Minnesota at 5:00 pm at the Bass-Russ Tennis Center.
Sunday
*Women’s Tennis– UofL will host Purdue at 12:00 at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
