Wrapping up a historical sports season

Wow! What a fun season of sports that was, right? If you are the casual UofL fan and you mainly keep up with football and men’s basketball, you got to enjoy a Sugar Bowl and a National Championship. If you follow ALL teams at UofL, it seemed like everyday there was something to cheer about. Volleyball in the NCAA Tournament, a National Champion swimmer, men’s soccer making an NCAA Tournament run to the Elite 8, and so much more. Here is a little recap of how each team at UofL finished this season. To say the least, it is quite impressive! Go Cards!

Men’s Sports

Baseball

*College World Series appearance (2nd time in school history)

*Big East regular season Champions

*51-14 record- 51 wins is the most in school history. The previous high was 50 in 2010.

*Ranked 4th when they lost in the CWS (no final ranking as of right now)

Basketball

*NCAA Champions (3rd time)- defeated Michigan 82-76
