CSZ News & Notes

This has been a good week for cardinal news so let’s get started:

On July 1st the University of Louisville Cardinals, along with ND, Pitt & Syracuse left the Big East conference….See Ya

Luke Hancock and Montrezl Harrell have been doing great for USA Basketball both on the court for Trezz and off for Luke so far. Montrezl has been a key contributor in the games so far making spectacular plays like this:

and Coach McKillop had great things to say about Luke who has been unconscious from three in scrimmages:

-Luke Hancock did not start at Louisville and Will Sheehey didn’t start at Indiana. But they have terrific IQs …

-They’re very grounded young men. And they lay it on the line every time they step onto the court

Also Luke will be carrying the flag bearer for the U.S. delegation at the 2013 World University Games in Kazan, Russia! Go Luke!

Not shocking to anyone but they love the Cards everywhere……………

UofL target Trevonte Valentine chose Miami over the Cards this week….that is not a typo and not something we will get use to

In brighter news though:

It was announced on Monday that Louisville’s game against Florida International on Saturday September 21 will kickoff at noon. WHAS-11 TV will show the game.

The Louisville men’s soccer program and head coach Ken Lolla will host the third annual “Kickin’ it with JT and Friends” free soccer clinic for children and adults with special needs on July 23 from 6:30-8:30 p.m., ET at Cardinal Park.

Five Louisville players were named Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars

ESPN announced it will broadcast U.S. teams participating in the World University Games from July 6-17 in Kazan, Russia

On Monday The Cardinal Pulse aired where CSZ members Steve Rummage and Jeremy Wahman, alongside co-host Jon Hancock from KentuckySports.co talked to Circle of Champions member Roman Oben and Cardinal fans circle of champion @CrumsRevenge. Jon was determined to not only blow his cover but change the name of the show. Check it out here:

It is officially 59 days until the start of Cardinal Football so I thought I would leave you with this….enjoy!

Go Cards!
