Butkus And Lombardi Watch Lists

image

The Butkus and Lombardi watch lists were revealed today for the 2013 college football season. The Butkus award is given to a player who is recognized as the best of the best linebackers in America. The Lombardi award goes annually to the college football lineman — offense or defense — who, in addition to outstanding performance and ability, best exemplifies the discipline of Vince Lombardi. Preston Brown was named to both. This is one of the most memorable preseasons in recent memory as 10 players have been named to the 12  lists so far. This is shaping up to be an even more special year. Cant wait for this season to start. Tomorrow the Biletnikoff award watch list will be released for the nation’s top wide receiver and I expect to see a Cardinal presence there also.
