Big time defensive tackle Poona Ford (gotta love that name) confirmed to Howie Lindsey of CardinalSports.com that he will make his college decision this Tuesday at 7pm. Ford is from Hilton Head, SC and is rated as a 4 star on Scout and a 3 star on Rivals. He is listed at 6’1 288 lbs.
His top 5 are South Carolina, Louisville, Purdue, Kansas State, and Tennessee. It is thought by many that this will pretty much come down to Louisville and South Carolina though. So can Charlie Strong get big Poona out of his home state, as well as out of the SEC?
Defensive tackle is a position that the Cards still need for the class of 2014, and this would be a good one to get for sure! Other than those 5 schools, Ford also holds offers from Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Arkansas, Ole Miss, and many more.
