It is definitely that time of year again! Fall sports have started and there seems to always be something going on in UofL athletics. As a fan of EVERY UofL sport, I love that there are so many games and events to keep up with. It makes it much more exciting when every team is good, as is the case with the Louisville Cardinals. There are just a few events today, but here they are…
*Field Hockey– the Cards will travel to Bloomington, IN and face the Indiana Hoosiers in a scrimmage today at 1 pm. The Cards finished last season ranked 25th in the NFHCA coaches poll after finishing with a 12-8 record. The regular season begins August 30 at Virginia at 6 pm.
*Men’s Soccer– the 10th ranked Cards will host 19th ranked Northwestern at 7 pm ET at Cardinal Park. This is the preseason finale for the Cards, and admission is FREE. Louisville defeated Northwestern last season in the third round of the NCAA Championship. The regular season begins August 30 at Virginia at 8 pm.
*Volleyball– UofL volleyball opens with their Alumnae match at Cardinal Arena today at 6 pm. There will be a scrimmage along with interviews to introduce the new members of the team. The regular season begins August 30th against Syracuse at the Penn State Invitational.
