The Cards dropped the first set Sunday vs Temple then never looked back as they defeated the Owls 3-1 at the YUM! Center Sunday afternoon. McClendon led the way for Louisville with 15 kills and 11 digs as the Cards moved to 2-0 in the American Conference and bringing them to 6-6 overall following a four game winning streak. Freshman Janelle Jenkins had nine kills and 10 blocks and Libero Caitlin Welch had a match-high 20 digs. Emily Juhl joined McClendon in double figure kills with 12 adding two blocks with senior Randi Ewing notching a season-high, career-high 10 blocks. The Cards play their first AAC road game Friday @ SMU followed by Houston on Sunday. Coach Anne Kordes had these words about the road trip. “Those Texas schools are really good and we will have to play well and adjust quickly because we have a target on our backs since we were picked to win the league. We have to cut back on our unforced errors,”
