Winning an event like this puts Louisville Women’s Tennis on an elite level,” said U of L head coach Mark Beckham. “Julia and Becca will be competing with the best of the best at the National Indoor. I couldn’t have scripted it any better.

These two girls have raised Louisville tennis to where it is respected throughout the college tennis world. They have worked very hard to get to this level and are very deserving of this championship! They played absolutely amazing and now it’s time to see if they can make some noise at the National Indoor. Our Louisville tennis fans should be very proud of them.” Fellerhoff and Shine beat Memphis’ Marta Morga and Skylar Kuykendall 8-3 on Sunday and then made quick work of  Krisztina Kapitany and Mara Schmidt of Purdue on Monday with an 8-3 win to gain the finals.
