Saturday night games at the KFC Yum! Center always have a different kind of buzz (pun?) about them. And since tonight’s opponent is UCF and the game could get out of hand in favor of the Cards, the crowd will still be entertained by being introduced to some former Louisville Basketball greats throughout the game.

Matt Willinger of CardinalSports.com has a list of some names and wrote this today…

About 40 former U of L men’s basketball players are expected to be in attendance for Cardinal Basketball Lettermen Day when the Cards face UCF on Saturday.

Among those expected to be recognized at timeouts during the game are Stanley Bunton, Craig Hawley, Terry Howard, Jadie Frazier, Don Goldstein, Mike Grosso, Jerry King, Jim Protenic, Tick Rogers, Phil Rollins, Marv Selvy, Howard Stacey, Beau Zach Smith, Derwin Webb, Tony Williams, and many more.

The list includes representatives from teams as far back as John Osborn, who played for the Cardinals from 1944-46, when U of L posted a combined 38-9 record in two seasons.

There will also be another visitor introduced, as Bobby Petrino, his staff, and the football team  are expected to be introduced. So it should be a good night for Louisville fans!
