Quentin Snider is now Ballard’s All-Time Leading Scorer

The Bruins' Quentin Snider (4) took to the free-throw line.

This past Saturday night, Ballard point guard and future Louisville Cardinal Quentin Snider became the all-time leading scorer in Ballard history. He broke the record set by Allan Houston, who went on to play at Tennessee and had a good career for the New York Knicks. He now has 2,280 career points.

Snider entered the game against Eastern High School needing 27 points to break the record. He got 30 as Ballard won 94-72. With 6:25 left to play, Snider was fouled on a 3-point attempt and he was 3 points shy of breaking the record. He made all three.

“Everything was going through my mind at the free throw line,” said Snider to the Courier-Journal. “I was basically feeling it,” Snider said, adding that (Coach) Renner told him, “If you hit a three, come down and shoot another one until you miss.”
