This weekend Bobby Petrino and his staff will continue to work on the 2014 class as they host two JUCO defensive linemen, David Moala and Pio Vatuvei. Both could end up being Cards by the end of their visits.
David Moala is a 3-star defensive tackle from Cerritos Community College in Norwalk, California. He is listed at 6’2 and 310 pounds. He also holds offers from Cincinnati, Kansas State, Oregon State, Houston, and more. As a redshirt freshman at Arizona State in 2012, he was dismissed from the team for a “violation of team standards.”
Pio Vatuvei is a defensive end and is listed at 6’3 and 270 pounds. His other offers are from Colorado and Fresno State. He was a 4-star player coming out of high school. He played for Washington and was expected to start in 2013, but was dismissed from the team over the summer for the infamous “violation of team rules.” This article from SBNation says that he was originally committed to USC before switching to Washington.
Here are highlights of Vatuvei.
