Class of 2014 Egyptian big man Anas Osama Mahmoud has committed to the Louisville Cardinals, according to CardinalAuthority.com’s Jody Demling. ESPN rates Mahmoud as a 4-star prospect and the 69th best player in the country. Most sites have him weighing around 200 pounds, which is obviously something that will have to be changed as soon as possible.
Mahmoud averages 17 points and 12 rebounds for West Oaks Academy in Orlando, Florida. He chose the Cards over offers from Cincinnati, Creighton, Minnesota, Florida, Georgia Tech, Auburn, and more.
Louisville now has two guys that are 7’2 committed for the class of 2014. Matz Stockman committed back in November.
