Bobby Petrino landed his first commitment for the class of 2015 on Friday when safety/cornerback TJ Jallow pledged to the Cards. Jallow plays for Olive Branch High School in Olive Branch, Mississippi. If that school/location sound familiar, it’s because that’s where former QB commit Ross Trail played (he now plays his high school ball in Arkansas). Speaking of Trail, while he did open his recruitment back up after Charlie Strong left, he is still interested in the Cards and was at the spring game on Friday night.
Jallow is listed at 6’1 and 203 pounds. His hudl page says that he runs a 4.31 40-yard dash.
If you try to find a lot of information on him on the different recruiting sites, you won’t. So this could be another case of Petrino finding a diamond in the rough, which he is great at doing.
According to the Courier Journal, Jallow said “I’ve been watching them ever since they played Florida in the Sugar Bowl (after the 2012 season), I’ve become a big fan of their defense, and I hope to contribute to their defense.
“… (Petrino) was just excited because I’m a ball hawk, and he likes that I get to the ball. He liked that I wanted to commit to Louisville so soon after they offered me.”
